Oriki’s DJ name is a fusion of her first and last name, later discovered to also mean Oríkì, the Yoruba tradition of praise poetry. A scientist by day, she carries that same curiosity into her DJing, where storytelling through rhythm sits at the core of her approach. Her sets unfold as energetic, percussive journeys rather than fixed genre statements. Raised in Manchester, her sound has been shaped by the city’s underground club culture and its deep relationship with bass and groove.
